Dear Alumna of SCA (or SGA),

     It is with great joy and anticipation that we hope to welcome you to our 38^th Homecoming on Saturday, October 20, 2018!

     Before you set this letter aside, please seriously consider joining your former classmates and friends for what promises to be a wonderful reunion. It will also be a chance to revisit the places where so many fond memories were made before you took the Academy’s motto to heart: “. . . Leave to Serve.”

     The order of the day is printed on the invitation. Notice that the program has been revised to allow more time to socialize and to accommodate those who might choose to leave at an earlier time. This letter contains additional information, including the logistics along with some necessary reminders. 

     First, reservations for the day must be mailed in advance and paid in full, by check or money order, before the October 1 deadline.  For a confirmation receipt, please include your email address or a stamped, self-addressed postcard or envelope.

     Our reception and dinner buffet will be held at an elegant venue, The Meadows Community Center. You will notice that, in an effort to keep the total cost at a reasonable rate, there has been no increase from past years.

     Second, for your convenience, a block of rooms has been reserved at the Pine Barn Inn. To be assured of a room, reserve as early as possible, but certainly by September 18, 2018.      Rooms in the former dorm wings at the academy will be available Friday and Saturday nights, October 19 and 20. If you choose to stay at SCA, reserve a room by emailing Sister M. Michaelette: smlsscm@hotmail.com or write to her at Villa Sacred Heart, 1002 Railroad Street, Danville, PA 17821. If you choose to stay at SCA, please know that the reception area closes at 8:30 pm. (There is no elevator access to the St. Cyril dorm area.) Please note that all buildings and grounds are non-smoking areas. (Smoking by guests and employees is restricted to an individual’s vehicle.) No alcoholic beverages are permitted on campus.

     Third, when you arrive on Saturday morning, please use the main entrance, through the glass doors, across from the auditorium. Proceed through the chapel to the McDevitt Conference Room (the former study hall) for registration. After registering, please go immediately to the dining room where you can leisurely enjoy a continental breakfast buffet and socialize with your friends. There will be no assigned seating. SCA items will be available for purchase there.

     We look forward to seeing you in Danville on October 20! Please encourage other alumnae you know to make the trip, especially those who are members of the jubilee classes.  It’s a lovely time of year to see Pennsylvania’s fall foliage.
