Bernardine T. Zakutny
Bernardine T. Zakutny, 81, of Allentown, passed away Friday, January 26, 2007 in her home. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Joseph M. and Anna C. (Dutko) Zakutny. She was a 1946 graduate of Sacred Heart Hospital School of Nursing and a 1949 graduate of the University of Dayton, Dayton, Ohio. Bernardine worked as a registered nurse for Sacred Heart Hospital until her retirement. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church, Allentown. Survivors: Bernardine is survived by her goddaughter, Mary Kate Maco of Boston Mass.; many friends. Services: A viewing will be held Wednesday evening 6-7:30 p.m. and Thursday morning 9-9:30 a.m. both in Kohut Funeral Home Inc., 950 N. Front St., Allentown. Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday 10 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Online condolences at: www.kohutfuneralhome.com.
