OBITUARY

Frances R. Polchin, 88, a life resident of Sugarloaf Twp., passed away Monday in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Sugarloaf Twp., she was the daughter of the late George and Susan (Maylath) Yenchick.

She was a former member of Holy Trinity Slovak Church and a life member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers. She was a current member of St. John Bosco Church, Sugarloaf Twp.

Frances loved spending time with her family.

She was employed by various clothing factories in the area before being a full-time housewife of her own home.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, was her husband, Emil Sr., in 1994. Eight brothers and sisters also preceded her in death.

Surviving are her sons, Emil Polchin Jr. and his wife, Susan, and James and his wife, Diane; daughters, Ann Marie Polchin and her husband, David Zimmerman, and Donna Konopka; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from John J. Pusti Funeral Home Inc., 480 W. Broad St., Hazleton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 2 p.m. in St. John Bosco Church, Sugarloaf Twp.

Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Drums.

Note:  Mary Yenchick Novotnak '44, her sister, survives. Her name was omitted above.
