Lorraine M. Driscoll, 72, of Marlton, N.J., passed away Sunday, October 9, 2011, surrounded by her family. Born in Wilkes-Barre, Lorraine was a daughter of the late Charles and Maryann Kopec Cigarski. Lorraine graduated from Saint Cyril's Academy, Danville, pursued her Nursing Degree at Wyoming Valley Hospital and interned at Princeton Hospital, Princeton, N.J. She was a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room at the Chilton Hospital, Northern New Jersey, for 17 years, and Garden State Hospital, Burlington, N.J., for 10 years. She will forever be remembered for her dedication to the medical field and as a poised matriarch to her family. She had a flair for life and zeal for captivating friends and loved ones with her exuberance. Lorraine's aptitude for the culinary arts was complemented by an exquisite palate for fine wines and savory foods. Surviving are her loving and devoted husband of 50 years, James J. Driscoll, Marlton, N.J.; three sons, Jamie C. Driscoll, Marlton, N.J., Rodney J. Driscoll and wife, Denise, Hunlock Creek, and Douglas C. Driscoll, Philadelphia. Lorraine was the loving grandmother of Rodney James (R.J.) and Emily Driscoll, John Douglas and Brooke Driscoll. She is also survived by siblings, Robert Cigarski, Chase, Gloria Jean Williams, Severn, Md., Marilyn Glogowski, Chase, and Sharon Blaszczak, Severna Park, Md.; nine nephews and nieces; 10 great-nephews and great-nieces; and three great-great-nieces. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday from the Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home Inc., 140 N. Main St., Shavertown. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Therese's Church, Pioneer Avenue and Davis Street, Shavertown. The Rev. James J. Paisley will officiate. Interment will be made in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Dallas. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
