RIP  December 1, 2017

Bernice  L  Kenderes, 77, of Denver. Wife of Leonard Kenderes. Mother of Annadele Kenderes, Gerald Kenderes, Rosemary Kenderes, Betsy Kenderes and of the late Curt Kenderes.  Sister of Elaine (John) Pavidus, Marion (Joe) Rubino, JoAnn Valenti, Martha Zavada, Adelle Zavada (Sam Pennartz). Grandmother of Christina, Elliott and Sarah Kenderes and Erik Benning II.  Rosary 2:00 PM., followed by Funeral Mass 2:30 PM., both Thursday December 7th, at the Archdiocese of Denver Mortuary. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Bernice Kenderes of Denver, Colo., formerly of Exeter, passed away Friday, Dec. 1, 2017. Bernice was the third daughter of the late Chief Joseph and Adella Zavada.

She was a graduate of St. John the Baptist School, Pittston; St. Cyril Academy, Danville; and College Misericordia. She taught in the Denver schools for 26 years.

She was preceded in death by her son, Curt.

Surviving are her husband, Leonard Kenderes; children, Annadale, Gerard, Rosemary and Betsy; grandchildren, Christina, Sarah and Eric; sisters, Elaine Pavidus, Marion Rubino, JoAnn Valenti, Martha Zavada, and Adelle Zavada.

Funeral and interment were held in Denver on Dec. 7, 2017.
