Sister M. David Hajcak, 76, of the Sisters of Ss. Cyril and Methodius, Danville, Montour County, died Tuesday in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Lansford, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Julia (Demcak) Hajcak.

She entered the convent in 1935 and took her religious vows in 1938 at Villa Sacred Heart, Danville.

Sister David taught elementary and junior high school in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Jersey and New York and was principal of schools in Binghamton, N.Y., and Phoenixville, Chester County. She retired in 1983.

 

She received a bachelor's degree in education from Marywood College, Scranton.

Survivors: Sisters, Margaret Pandosh of Hatboro, Montgomery County, and Sister M. Theophane of Danville, and a a brother Joseph of Ellenton, Fla.
