Margaret Pristas (Mullaney) - Class Of 1936

Margaret Mullaney Obituary | Condolences MULLANEY Margaret Prestas Mullaney passed away on April 22, 2012 at Community Hospice in Jacksonville. She was born on February 26, 1920 in Stratford, CT to the late John and Bertha (Kollar) Pristas. She is predeceased by Jack (James Jackson Mullaney), her devoted husband of 62 years who died April 3, 2012, her sister, Barbara Jean, and her brothers, John and Edward. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Margaret was a truly generous, kind, and caring person. After the death of her mother and her own graduation from Saint Cyril Academy in Danville, Pennsylvania, she returned home to help raise her younger brother and sister. For many years she worked in Personnel at Ploof Trucking Lines in Jacksonville. Following her retirement from Ploof, she continued to enjoy traveling, cooking, and composing humorous poems. She also volunteered at the Country Store at Westminster Woods, where she resided, and she was a devoted member of San Juan Del Rio Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Sunday, April 29th in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm, Monday, April 30th in San Juan Del Rio Church with Father Tony Ike as Celebrant.
