Helen Anne O'Connor, 91 passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Riverside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on May 8, 1919 in Phillips, WI to Andrew and Anne Hudak and was the youngest of 10 children.
Helen attended college in Pennsylvania and Illinois and taught in both Catholic and Public Schools grade pre-k through 12. Helen worked at St. Josephs Catholic School in Chehalis and was a caregiver when she met Daniel O'Connor. They were married in 1976. They enjoyed traveling, fishing and taking care of the farm. Daniel preceded her in death in 1991.
Helen was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Centralia, WA. Helen is survived by Daniel's children, Chuck O'Connor and his wife Zaida in Lancaster, CA, Sharon O'Connor and her husband John Polikolsky in La Cresenta, CA, her grandsons, Mark and Michael, sister in-laws Lenore Hudak and Alice O'Connor, a niece Elizabeth Ptak and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Services will be Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Centralia. Viewing 10:00 AM, Rosary 10:30 AM, Mass 11:00 AM. Burial St. Frances Mission Cemetary in Toledo, WA.
