Bernardine Marinko (Timko) - Class Of 1942

Bernardine "Bernie" Timko

Born May 18, 1924 in Hazleton, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Ducar) Marinko.

She was the beloved wife of the late Paul Timko.

She was a member of St. John Bosco church and their 50 plussers club.

She graduated from St. Cyril and Methodius Academy, Danville, Pa. and attended nursing school at Hazleton General Hospital. She was employed as a nurse at Abington Hospital for 23 years.

Bernie enjoyed sewing, crafts and baking cookies for family and friends.

She was a devoted mother and grandmother and is survived by her children, Lawrence Timko (Jean) of Fairfield, Ohio, Theresa Wright (Joseph) of Churchville, Ronald Timko (Angela) of Langhorne, Barbara Quinn (Matthew) of Norristown, and Paulette Wilson of Royersford; 11 grandchildren, Melissa Timko, Rebecca Kerr, Justin Perri, Emily Timko, Christina Quinn, Joseph Wright, Sarah Breiding, Carolyn Quinn, Jaclyn Timko, Ryan Timko and Rachel Wilson; siblings, Mary Dercole (Ralph) and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Helen, Anna, Agnes, Benedicta, and Theresa; and brothers, Joseph, John and Francis.

Relatives and Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the Louis Swift Plunkett Funeral Home, 529 N. York Rd., Hatboro. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John Bosco Church, 235 E. County Line Rd., Hatboro, PA 19040. Interment will be in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
