Tomasek, Josephine Ethel
passed away peacefully on May 8, 2013. She was 88 years old. Jo was born in Chicago March 18, 1925, to Camille and Magdalena Vozar. She attended Saints Cyril & Methodius Academy, a Catholic girls boarding school in Danville, Pa., where she developed lifelong friends and cherished memories. On September 7, 1946, Jo married her childhood sweetheart Ed Tomasek in Chicago. The family moved to Phoenix in 1960. Jo was a member of Saints Simon and Jude parish where she was a Eucharistic minister for 25 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, a brother, granddaughter Sabrina and two sons-in-law, Troy Dugger and Marvin Francoeur. Jo is survived by her loving husband Ed and six children: daughters Barb Geer (Jim), Judy Dugger, Nancy Francoeur and sons Ed (Rosie), Bill (Wanda) and Rob (Bobbie). She also has 23 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Mon., May 13, from 6-8:30pm (Rosary at 7), at A.L. Moore-Grimshaw Mortuaries Bethany Chapel. A memorial service will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 330 W Coral Gables, Tue., May 14 at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Jo's name to Hospice of the Valley , 1510 E.
