So so sad; truly one of the very best English and Latin teachers I ever had.  It was a privilege to have her as a teacher and as our "babysitter"  in the villa where she really made our lives, at least mine, so very happy.  I am very sorry to see that you are on the other side of the door of life, I have never forgotten you or will I ever  Chris Mikulka, 1955 Freshman

Lucy Johnson (Johnson) (1962)

It's taken me awhile to have it sink in.  She was my teacher, my friend and mentor long after I left the academy.

I would visit often and each and every time we would talk for hours.  She was so easy to talk to and I could be frank and never felt the need to hide from her any aspect of my then mixed up life.  She knew before I did what my issues were and never once did she judge or made me feel any sense of shame or guilt.  When she meet my soul mate she embrace us both and told me that God love me and to be happy.  I loved her and miss her very much.  She was awesome.
