Rosemary B. Kelesi

Rosemary B. Kelesi, 90 of Perth Amboy passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at Abingdon Care & Rehab Center in Greenbrook.
Born in Woodbridge, NJ, she lived in Perth Amboy for many years. Rosemary was a parishioner of the Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish at Holy Trinity Church. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Altar Rosary Society, Holy Trinity Church choir and the Charismatic Community of St. Francis of Assisi. Rosemary was very proud and honored to be able to Crown the Blessed Mother in Danville two times. Rosemary was an avid reader, loved solving crossword puzzles, and in her younger days did much embroidery and enjoyed dancing. She had a green thumb and had many houseplants. In fact, she grew up with a house plant she inherited which ended up living over 100 years. Aside from taking time to raise her two children, Rosemary worked until 78 years old. During her working career, she was office manager and payroll clerk for Flagstaff Foods, HT Electric, and T. Achenberg Transportation. After retiring, she wanted to keep active, so she went back to work as a customer service representative at Superior Office Supply. Her grandchildren were her world, and she will be missed by them dearly.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Kelesi, her parents, Anne (Karnish) and Gustav Bodnar, her godmother who raised her, Mary Vereb, her sisters, Elizabeth, Anne, Theresa, Eleanor and Marie.
She is survived by her daughter, Maryanne Ianno and her husband Philip, her son, Daniel Kelesi, and her grandchildren, Matthew and Christopher.
We will be meeting at Holy Trinity RC Church on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 10am for a Funeral Mass followed by a Burial at Holy Trinity Cemetery. Services were entrusted in the GUSTAV J. NOVAK FUNERL HOME 419 Barclay Street Perth Amboy.
