Frances "Frankie" (Ditzler) Jensen

Frances E. "Frankie" (Ditzler) Jensen, 68, of Sutton, MA, died peacefully at home on February 29th 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. Frankie leaves her husband of 47 years, John; five children: Susan Wolfenden and her husband David of Paxton, MA, Amy Regish and her husband Dan of Hadley, MA, Matthew Jensen and his wife Jennifer of Long Branch, NJ, Deborah Lahteine and her husband Victor of Plymouth, MA and Sarah Hodges and her husband Wayne of Fredericksburg, PA. She also leaves her brother, John Ditzler and his wife Jeanne of Danville, PA, and sisters: Mimi Frank and her husband John of Reading, PA and Jane Ditzler and husband Larry Garrett of Marblehead, MA as well as a brother-in law, Ed Jensen and his wife Regina of Moneta, VA. Nine grandchildren will miss her dearly along with many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. Frankie was predeceased by her parents, W. John Ditzler and Eleanor Christian Ditzler of Danville, PA.

Frankie worked for many years for AMI Truck Lease of Worcester, MA and joined Jensen Associates in 1985. She was instrumental in building the business as office and accounting manager. She retired in 2011.

With a healthy appreciation for the outdoors, Frankie enjoyed hikes with family and friends in the White Mountains, birding throughout New England, and canoe outings both at home and away. Frankie loved being with her family and friends and she graciously welcomed them all to her home and perfect spot on the lake. Simple gatherings, grand celebrations and her favorite summer solstice get-togethers were made even more special just because she was there to share her joy and laughter.

Frankie was active in St Mark's Church as a lector and as a team leader for RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults). Her kind acceptance of people helped pave the way for many individuals looking for an entrance to the Catholic Church.
